My surgery

Well, hi everyone. My surgery went well. (Heard Bro Greg was there for most of the surgery) which took about 3 hours, I think, Linda Martin can verify that, cause she was there the whole time. Thanks, Linda.

Anyway, I am in alot of pain and taking drugs so I'll make this short.

Dr Gioia, went in through the front of my neck again. He had to push everything (nerves muscle tissue, and what ever else is in-between your mouth to the front of the spine) out of his way. He removed the old plate and screws (and gave them to me), that they put in Sept of 2004. That was on disc c3-c4. The 2 below those, c4-c5, c5-c6 had narrowed so much, they added more disc and screws. (so that's 3 total) The discs had degenerated so much that there was no room for the nerves to go through them, therefore creating all kinds of problems.I am suppose to be resting for the next 2 weeks and then maybe starting some therapy. Dr Gioia told me it would be about a 2-3 month recovery period. So he filed that I am termperany disabled for now and absolutely NO job hunting for 3 more months. Then he wants to do a bone scan on my whole back, to see what other damage there is. 

I will probably be needed some basic help during this time.

BJ is graduating on May 26. Pray I and (mainly his dad and his new wife, for other reasons) will be able to make it.

But also I need  probably some basic help, mostly mental, physical, emotionally.But I may need help as far a grocery shoppin and simple errands.

I need to go now, pain is becoming very bad and I need to take my meds and get in bed.
