Hello;

There is an issue with fan fiction.net when using f123.

When you arrow through the stories and their links, it will read the
last chapter out, so for example, it might say story one chapter 30
instead of just story one.

Thanks for reading, Brad.

Thanks for your report, Bradley!

Taking a look at Fanfiction.net, we found that the stories have two links, one to the first chapter of the story and the other as a quick link to the latest chapter of the story. The second link is, of course, only present when there is more than one chapter for the story.

Without F123 Access, the quick link to the latest chapter won't be labeled. NVDA just simply reads it as 'Link'. With F123 Access, the automated link labeling scripts label this quick link properly, which is why you found the link to the last chapter.

The usual link to the first chapter of the story is still there, before the quick link. If this is not the case for you, and you can only see the quick link, please submit a report and we will get to fixing the issue.

Hello; thanks for your help.

I'll report pages that I think might need cleaning up.

Will f123 update to the latest version when a new update comes out?

Or will we have to search for new updates in the menu?

Hey Bradley,

If you set Firefox to automatically get the latest version of the Add-on, it will pick it up right away.  Otherwise use the F123 Access menu  - "Check for updates"

But, remember, there are two lots of software here:  There's the Add-On which we upgrade now and again, and there are the Package Scripts which the Add-On downloads from our server.  Paritosh has been talking about update we made to the packages. You get those updates whenever you turn on F123 Access - either when you start up Firefox, or when you toggle the "Active" menu item on or off.

So, when we improved the Youtube volume level, we did that in a package and you get that via the startup or "toggle" - there is no need for a new version of the Add-On.

best wishes,
Mark
