Recap - Toastmasters April 3, 2021 meeting

Good Evening Fellow Toastmasters,

I realized I owe you a recap.

The theme of our first meeting in the month April was “Tips & Tricks”.   

We had an awesome meeting!  We heard two captivating speeches.  The first one was a fully-loaded speech from Asmaa Hammad regarding her life, titled “The Girl with the Weird Name”.   Debika Bhattacharya spoke about uncontrolled fear in a suspense filled speech titled “Never Let Your Fear Decide Your Fate”.   Our table topics session was led by Linda Rudd.   One impromptu speaker spoke about concentrating on the people he loves to prevent regrets at the age of 80.    We heard an April fool’s trick from Sarah Cocking that left someone stuck with the dinner bill.  During the close of the meeting, we were given some amazing tips.  Toastmaster, Joethelia Mooney shared some unusual beneficial uses of shaving cream and Linh Nguyen left us with a quality tip to achieve happiness.  She said… “Expect nothing and appreciate everything”.
