As no one has replied, I'll give my 2 cents.
The unit went together without a hitch. I did snap a small plastic part, but a little heat melted it back together.
I found the existing auto spool system inconsistent. I added a potentometer to the spool motor and manually adjusted the speed/power and got a very consistent spool. I think the sensor for the auto system is too far back and the motor torques too much when switched on stretching the filament. I think with the motor voltage turned down a little and the sensor moved forward a little, (and the metal wheel deleted), it should work well.
That's my 2 cents.
For a Kickstarter, do it your self, beta test unit, I think it works great.
