to Explanations
Have you ever felt that a meal was incomplete unless you ate a
dessert? Have you done some introspection and discovered your stomach
actually hungers for a dessert after a meal and when you eat it your
stomach is now satisfied?
Suggested explanations:
* There are taste buds in your stomach of sorts especially sweetness
detecting buds. Desserts tickle these buds.
* The stomach and intestines may actually rely on on sugar directly
absorbed from desserts to give it the energy it needs to do its
business.
* The peculiar chemistry of desserts (and fruit and cheese if you live
in France as they often eat that for dessert) aids digestion. E.g.
enzymes found in vanilla, eggs, fruits and cheese aid breakdown of
newly consumed items. Mayb also most desserts share chemistry in
their confections that aid digestion.
