Don't like trivial emails?

Click "Unsubscribe or change membership" at the top and either
unsubscribe or change your email options. Don't make a new topic about
it as that is a little hypocritical. This is an ongoing process and I
can make it "news" only if people wish, the forums on the site can
remain for discussion. Please use this topic for discussion and I will
remove the others, thanks.

After a discussion has taken place here I will change some of the
options. Here are the options:

Who can post messages to your group?
Moderators Members Everyone
Moderator only yes no no
Members only yes yes no
Anyone can post yes yes yes

Should messages be moderated?
Messages are moderated
Messages are delivered without moderation

Who should see replies to group messages?
Replies are sent to group.
Replies are sent to the author.
Replies are sent to the owner.
Replies are sent to nobody

I plan to set it so that only moderators can post new news topics and
any subsequent replies to those topics will NOT be sent as emails.
Hence each person will ONLY receive emails of the latest headlines?
Does this suit everyone?

I had planned this to be for news only so I am empathising with your
requests.
