I am forwarding your email with the link to our colleagues in the major Transportation Agencies in Addis, who will truly benefit from this free GIS course, including in ERA, ETRE, Addis Ababa Transport Bureau and Addis Ababa Urban Planning. By the way, you may already know ERA already has ESRI GIS software products (including ArcGIS).

You are welcome to pass it to others.  Please do so quickly as it will close in the next few days (26th of April) .  I checked on the number of people that registered and I found only a couple of people in Harar Region. None from any other place including the most dense metro Addis Ababa.   See the attached map of registrants ( http://arcg.is/00Wiyv ) at the link.

The concepts of the course are useful even though one may not have access to a high-end tool such as ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online.  The ArcGIS Online access is free for the duration of the course.  I am sure there are many other online resources but this one is a relatively well organized and in a fairly useful standard GIS tool.  I think it is worth the time one can invest in it. The only requirement / need is good internet access.  It is not a beginner class but fairly easy to pick up if one is motivated,  has access to a computer or tablet and of course a robust internet access.
