Dear Abiyu,

Thank you for sharing this news...it is promising but as you said the road might seem to be difficult and at times ambitious talking about very high level vision but the question to our group is that are we paving the way to achieve this vision? What are we doing currently to save lives, improve mobility, travel reliability and address the need for transportation in the country. Actually I really do like the focus of ITS Nigeria the focus on urban traffic congestion which is also an issue in our country, What is the focus of ITS Ethiopia or current initiative?  I am not sure what "nationwide implementation of ITS" means... but I believe we are on the right track but strongly believe a lot needs to be done on safety and mobility with engineering and education prior to building the ITS infrastructures. 

Again thank you for being valued advocate for ITS and safety for our country and evoke a conversation with this group and serving as a conduit between EEO and transportation groups in Ethiopia.
