I want to bring to your attention, (as part of my responsibility as temp sit-in EEO's educational committee lead, Mr Abiyu Berle), a free Spatial Analysis training opportunity using ESRI Arc GIS Online that maybe of interest to some.  The link

You are welcome to pass it to others.  Please do so quickly as it will close in the next few days (26th of April) .  I checked on the number of people that registered and I found only a couple of people in Harar Region. None from any other place including the most dense metro Addis Ababa.   See the attached map of registrants ( http://arcg.is/00Wiyv ) at the link.

The concepts of the course are useful even though one may not have access to a high-end tool such as ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online.  The ArcGIS Online access is free for the duration of the course.  I am sure there are many other online resources but this one is a relatively well organized and in a fairly useful standard GIS tool.  I think it is worth the time one can invest in it. The only requirement / need is good internet access.  It is not a beginner class but fairly easy to pick up if one is motivated,  has access to a computer or tablet and of course a robust internet access.

Thank you so much Maaza for sending us this valuable Free ArcGIS Course by ESRI and the Holiday wishes. I am  honored to be part of this educational and professional organization.  EEO board members take their assigned duties seriously and go the extra mile to make things happen on the top of their daily activities.  Hope general members are enjoying their long break/Sabbatical leave.  But now it is this time of the year when we come together for updating each other and plan for the future.  I will be travelling from May 5 to May 26, meanwhile I will send out couple of dates for our next conference call.
