Announcing the new EsiObjects V4.2.0.9 RC2 release...

The new EsiObjects kit (eo_server_gtm_4_2_0_9_rc2.tar) is now
available in the SVN at SourceForge under the EsiObjects project. You
can view it at: http://esiobjects.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/esiobjects/

This release contains the following enhancements:

* A readme_GTM_Linux.txt file that describes the new features and
how to use them.

* New generic (I hope) install and uninstall scripts that replace
the Red Had specific scripts Setup and Upgrade.

* Replacement of the old EsiObjects specific Port service with the
xinetd service, (eXtended InterNET Daemon).

I've tested these new features using the latest version of GT.M on:

* Ubuntu 9.04

* an old version of RHEL (2.4.21-4)

Please download the kit and try it on different Linux implementations.
I want to make sure it installed properly on the most common systems.

Of course, it still requires a Windows system (or VM) to run the
client. Let me know about any problems.

I'm absolutely sure improvements can be made. Once it is tested
thoroughly, I will release it to the general public.

The Cache kit will be uploaded within a couple days.
