ME1v2 problem in detecting the HDD

I have a problem with my ME1v2 which has a SATA 1TB HDD.

When I connect it to the power suply, it boots up but it doesn't
detect its HDD. Turning off and on again using the Remote control has
no positive effect on this problem.

The only solution is to reboot the system using 'telnet' and 'reboot'
command. I have upgraded to latest Firmware.

I wonder if the same problem existed with old Firmwares.

Can anybody help?

What make of harddrive?  I had a Hitachi which behaved in a similar way.  I sent it back and it got changed to a western digital.  See this thread:
