1. Sequoia systems hardware uses some non-open source stuff
2. This sounds more like DISCLOSED SOURCE, a horse of a different color) is not
contained in the announcement.
3. Are we sure that the combination of this and the new OSDVF stuff is not just
a way to slide in a "solution" to keep current vendors solvent?
4. What kind of license is this "open source"? It's all about the license. If
you don't know what form of open source license is going to be used, you've got
bupkus.
5. If I own the hardware, I own the true functionality of the open source
software. Sequoia owns the hardware.
Again, why are people getting excited about this? Those of us who have been
doing this work for awhile should step up to the plate on public education
instead of just parroting the company line.

Government is the servant of the people, and not the master of them. The
people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right
to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to
know. We insist on remaining informed so that we may retain control over the
instruments of government we have created.

Careful -- it's a trap. Never trust such entities as Sequoia, ES&S, etc.
