well hooray fro that! Ohio had such a ruling also, but it doesn't stop polling judges  frequently from telling us exit pollsters that we have no right to exit poll right outside the door to the voting places!

The problem, as the link subtly points out, is that the ban that was
earlier upheld by the NJ Supremes covers "all expressive activity" -
so although exit polls might be allowed, literally all other talking,
pointing, gesticulating or other "communication" is banned under the
express terms of this (overbroad) law. Of course they won't enforce
it quite that ridiculously, but the discretion they have to
discriminate based on types of speech is a core reason overbroad laws
are disfavored so greatly.

I was pleasantly surprised that at the Penn State Student Union where TONS of students (~2000 though I forget the exact number) vote, they allowed us to exit poll AND ELECTIONEER (we didn't but candidates and their reps did) about 25 feet away from the exit and entrance door. the only rule that was enforced was that we in no  way were to block or make it difficult for the voters to enter or exit. But wouldn't you know it, some local paper hack tried to make us stop exit polling, as if we were bothering the students. And this was Centre County where they have PAPERLESS DRES. Unexplained Discrepancies have been found there through exit polling in at least two elections.  Marj

This is a little "gift" from our Democratic Governor who is running
again on Tuesday. He has been fighting to keep this ban (and the
electronic voting machines, for years. The problem is that the
Republican candidate is much worse, and the 3RD Party Independent is
just another Republican in "wolf's clothing." Our Democrat thief is
the "lesser of 3 Evils."
