LA's Inkavote bubbles

For those of  you wanting to better understand the double bubble mess in LA, if you download the file "InkaVote Plus Brochure", ( http://www.lavote.net/VOTER/PDFS/INKAVOTE_PLUS_BROCHURE.pdf  ), you can learn how the InkaVote system "works".

Look at the top left of page 2. You will see that the actual ballot card is a bunch of squares with numbers and circles in them. That's it.



There's no way to identify which party the ballot is for, unless the proper square has been marked. It is therefore impossible to know if the votes on that ballot are for the Democratic of American Independant party, among others, so it is impossible to determine the voters intent -- unless they kept the ballots in separate stacks according to party and decline-to-state.

I have just asked LA County for an explanation of what those procedures are, and will let you know if I have an answer.

This is not the first time they have used this procedure in a primary.
