The annual tribal gathering of leather, sex and spirit is returning to the Crown Plaza North Phoenix for January 23 – 26, 2014. Newly hired management has been working tirelessly with SWLC to insure a fabulous event with many amenities offered especially for attendees.

This year SWLC starts a bit earlier with a Thursday night Meet-N-Greet Reception sponsored by the hotel. We also introduce Master/slave contestants from some of our new state feeder contests. In addition, the Southwest Bootblack Contest celebrates its 10^th anniversary with special commemorative activities throughout the weekend.

Of special note is the Keynote Speaker, Race Bannon, scheduled to speak during Sunday Brunch. Race is co-founder of Kink Aware Professionals, leader of The DSM Project, author of Learning The Ropes: A Basic Guide to Safe and Fun BDSM Lovemaking, founder of Daedalus Publishing Company, widely published writer, past Board member of NLA-I and Avatar Los Angeles, and co-founder of NLA-LA. He currently sits on the Boards of CARAS, NCSF and the Leather Hall of Fame. Awards and recognitions include: 2006 National Leather Association International's Lifetime Achievement; 2010 Mister Marcus Hernandez Lifetime Achievement (Man) Pantheon of Leather Community Service; 2011 Philip M. Turner Lifetime Achievement; and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Creating Change 2013 Leather Leadership.
