On the weekend, news goes out with regards to the sinking of a cargo ship called the ‘Lord of Dark Water’ within Brunswick Dock in Liverpool. The Royal Navy reserves have been called in to assist with the rescue operation and the crew of the ship are currently unaccounted for.

On Monday the following news story is in the headlines.

“Police are currently investigating the homicide of more than a dozen people after the ‘Lord of Dark Water’ sank in Liverpool Harbour on the weekend. The bodies of more than a dozen people were recovered from the wreckage, over the weekend and it appears the crew were merciless killed by unknown assailants. In some instances the victims’ bodies were dismembered and mutilated.

The ship had been docked within Liverpool over the last couple of months.  Evidence found on board indicates that the vessel may have been involved in a people trafficking that operated through Liverpool. Police suspect this may have been retaliation from a rival.

Witnesses state that sounds of a disturbance were heard late Saturday evening and that shortly afterward the rear of the ship was seen on fire before quickly sinking into the harbour. A number of figures were seen leaving Brunswick Docks shortly afterwards but no positive identification has been made.

Police are asking for anyone with further information to come forward.”
