Everytime i press the sync button i get an error message saying that
application cannot contact FTP server to download the file.

I have already tried to logout/login.

I dont know where to check for logs.

the user account is a standard user.

what other info do i need to provide to help me figure out this
problem?

Hello,

If you are running an older version please be sure to upgrade to the
latest. Older versions used a method of connecting to the server that
was blocked by some firewalls.

Should have mentioned that in the beginning that I installed this
like two days ago, its v1.9.2

I also just deleted the plist file and it did not help.

I also have rebooted the computer and installed 10.4.11

Is there any logs that are generated that will give us info that will
help figure out what is going on.

There is a folder called OnlineSync inside Your home folder -> Library
-> Application Support -> EasyTask.

If the online sync is working properly it will contains a few files.
If those files are in there then the problem is with the connection to
easytaskmanager.net

Are you using a wireless card? How's the connection?
Any firewalls/programs on the computers that would block the connection?

EasyTask uses regular http to transfer the information. But it needs a
steady connection. A bad wireless connection can cause time-out. This
timeouts you might not see in a regular browser.

Thank you

Sorry to say. This probably means a network error. If you want I can send you a version with more debug info so it shows exactly where the problem is. Let me know.

Hi,

You can download it from the link below. This will update all actions
to the console log while syncing.
1.- Launch this test version.
2.-Open the Console log from the Applications -> Utilities folder.
3.- Click Sync on the test version and check the logs on the Console.

If you don't see all the logs on the Console make sure you select
"Show Log List" on the toolbar and then "All messages from the
outline".

Once you have the logs please post here and I'll let you know exactly
why the application is failing the sync.

Remember this is only a test version of EasyTask. You can save it to
the desktop or a temporary folder.

Thanks
