Grammy-winner Ruben Ramos; King-Tears Mortuary; porcelain artist
Sunyong Chung; a family with a mother in a Texas immigrant Detention
Center; the two LBJ High Schools; Nubian Queen Lo-La; and the smallest
lobbyists of Austin--elementary school children--are among the people
and issues you will meet in the newest East Austin Stories, when they
are screened live on December 12, Tuesday night, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30
p.m.

The first screening, at 7:00 will be at the community hall of Our Lady
of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East 9th street. Use the Navasota
Street entrance, across from the Texas State Cemetery.

Or bring your warm jackets and watch a screening under the stars ( and
across the street from the tortilla factory) in the courtyard of Cafe
Mundi, 1704 East 5th St.

Eight new films made by University of Texas RTF students in
collaboration with residents and businesses in East Austin will be
shown.

And now we are podcasting...

Now you can not only stream the archive of East Austin Stories at
EastAustinStories.org, you can download a different story to your
computer each week by subscribing to the free podcast. You will need
iTunes (which is also free). Then go to the iTunes store and search
for "East Austin Stories." You find a dozen or so stories already
there and a new one will appear every week.

Hope to see you on Tuesday December 12.

Best wishes,
Andy Garrison
