Subject: ALBERT J SOLNIT INTEGRATED TRAINING PROGRAM
Dear Colleagues,
I hope that you are all well and enjoying the last weeks of summer!
I am writing on behalf of a friend and colleague, Hanna Stevens. She is the Assistant Training Director of the Albert J Solnit Integrated Training Program at the Yale Child Study Center and would like to spread the word about a training opportunity for medical students thinking of a career in psychiatry who have a particular interest in research. The Albert J. Solnit Training Program is a wonderful program for medical students with an interest in research benefitting the mental health of children and adults. The program is an integrated one in which students complete adult and child psychiatry residency training while designing and performing research under close mentorship. Students can apply to the program through ERAS. A flyer is attached
If you know of students with a particular interest in, or who would be a good match for a career in academic child or adult psychiatry, please share. I had the pleasure of training alongside Hanna and her colleagues during my child psychiatry fellowship, and I was able to witness firsthand the benefit of ample protected research time under close mentorship during training, and have enjoyed watching the benefits that the training has had on their careers.
Please share with your students.
Sincerely,
Jill L Barron, MD
Associate Clerkship Director, Psychiatry Yale University School of Medicine
