Hey psychiatry-minded people (or people who were ever slightly
interested in psychiatry for a brief period),
This Wednesday at lunchtime we are having a meeting inspired by Dr.
Aravich's "Proposals for Community-Based Partnerships in the Clinical
Neurosciences" assignment. Students will be sharing their ideas
related to inpatient detoxification programs, psychosocial enrichment
for institutionalized patients, peer-peer music therapy for autism
spectrum disorders, and support groups for medical students.
Psychiatry faculty members will offer their perspective, and PFA
himself will be there to inspire us with guilt. All interested
students are invited to participate in the discussion. We'll be in
Lewis Hall room 1032B (next to the security desk), and there will be
pizza. I hope to see you there! Also, I've been updating the
eventmedley page (
http://www.eventmedley.com/psych), so check it out,
and tell your friends who might be interested in psychiatry. Thanks!
Alison
