I think we should all share our reasons and vote, so we can understand where everyone is coming from. Ines, I see you put all 0s which is not valid. Everyone has their own POV and the best way towards transparency is to be open about what yours are.

I voted for top 3. #1 CSO because that was the top recommendation of the entire task force per an earlier vote. I voted for Transportation's overall policy as #2 because transportation is the #1 source of GHG and the recommendation is all about MV. I voted for Building's overall policy as #3 because buildings are the #2 source of GHG.

I'd want to hear more from the other WG reps about how their recommendations fit with other recommendations and their own priorities before I advocated for one recommendation over another. In general I would advocate that overall policy for each WG is in the top 10 and then pick the top one or two that the WGs feel best supports their overall policy.

Neither Bruce nor I can vote since we are not representing any WG. All WGs have one representative who can vote and every WG except B&LU has one representative who's attending. For some reason both Ines and Amanda are both going for B&LU, but B&LU still only gets one vote. I think the other WG representatives would feel more comfortable if only one person represented B&LU  and it would make the meeting go faster.

Thanks,
Thida (she/her)

Thanks Thida,

If Emily is representing our group - then I am happy not to go to the meeting tomorrow. (She is only flying back tonight)
I am sure she will be happy to have all your priorities. :-) .

It is hard to rank them all 1-15, but tomorrow they will all be ranked.
It would be a good input for the person going to the meeting tomorrow to know how everybody feels about all of them.

I haven't yet voted :)  - The 0 were just there to have the links to all the recos not cover everything and get it out to all of you faster.

- Ines

Vote on the below excel sheet - tab 1.
ALL recos in order from 1-15 with 1 being the most important to you and 15 the least.

Reason behind my vote:

1. CSO
Budget GHG emissions should be highest- but I am afraid it leads to a political debate slowing everything down and without a CSO office we are not able to win that debate.
That’s why I voted for CSO office who sits at the same ranks as other department heads and can lead that discussion
2. Budget the GHG and then everything else will fall into place in theory.

The cost per MT of transportation items T4A $787/MT and T4B $328/MT are very high compared to Sustainable Landscaping $84 to $160/MT which is why I ranked Sustainable Landscaping above T4A.

I also had community engagement tools O2B lower similar to Chirjiv.  The links that were in the spreadsheet did not go to the final recommendations.  My general thought was that much of the outreach is in the buildings and transportation recommendations already.

Mike
