Are any of you planning to be at the Jan 31 event?  I won't be able to make it, but IdaRose is hoping there are at least two folks from each group available to answer questions at the tables.  Any volunteers?

We are now at 53 registered attendees, with more coming in at a steady pace. We also know many people have told us yes, but have not registered yet, including at least 2 council members! (we do expect 50% attrition, btw)

With that said, we have had very few registrations from the task force itself. We don't know if this is because people assume we know they will be there, or because they actually don't plan to attend. I'll address this issue in a sep. email to all, as we are space limited. 

Our goal, too, is to put all of the task force members who attend to work at the event. We have several volunteer opportunities and a work plan, details to follow, but here are our needs. All jobs are fun and easy.

• Table facilitators. We will break out into groups around topics, including our working groups, and others suggested by the audience. Yes, we will have a little bit of improv going on. The table facilitator will have a list of questions to encourage conversation, and is responsible for moving the conversation along, including cutting off people, and ensuring the quiet ones have a voice. It also involves repeating back what people say, making sure all are heard and understood. The facilitator will not promote their specific ideas!
  • Mary we've assigned you to transportation
  • We need at least 5 more people (some of which will come from OCA)
• Table listener. This person will support the facilitator, especially in larger groups. Most importantly, this person will take notes, and be responsible for noting things like dissent, passion and true interest around issues, etc. This person will take notes more than talk.
  • We need at least 6 people
• Room observer
  • These people serve a variety of purposes. For one, they will be listening to conversations around the room, looking for underlying themes, concerns, etc. They also will help keep time, help bring tables to a close, move people along, physically and otherwise. We probably need four people on this task, perhaps more.
    • Bruce K, we've assigned you to this. 
    • We have at least 1-2 OCA people on this
• Photography
  • We've assigned Bruce N to this 😉
  • If anyone wants to be a casual snapshot backup and is good on their phone, we can take 1-2 more.

With all of that said, I need your help confirming your attendance, and agreeing to or assigning yourself a role. I assume all SC members will be there, but I would like positive confirmation.

Let me know by Friday pm, at the latest, if you will attend and in what role.
