all electric very efficient _ including electric car

Palo Alto Utilities had a very interesting poster at their Earthday event.

It stated the annual cost for having an all electric house including car charging is much lower then one with gasoline car, gas and electric appliances. 

Unfortunately I could not find out how they have calculated this.

Except for: the upfront costs are higher, but are not taken into account, but the maintenance of the systems is lower and apparently that was also not taken into account in the calculation
