Hello Chirjiv-
Thank you for contacting us, and for your interest in passing a local energy ordinance. We have also spoken with the City staff about some of the options.
The answers to your questions are a bit more complex than I can articulate well here, but I am happy to discuss them with you on the phone. Might there be a good time for us to connect Monday?
Thank you-
Misti Bruceri

Subject: Low-Rise Residential New Construction: All-Electric Design, CALGreen - Voluntary Tiers 1 and 2
Message: Hello, I am a part of the environmental sustainability task force at the City of Mountain View, trying to make an all-electric reach code recommendation to the city and I would like to know if this ordinance -Low-Rise Residential New Construction: All-Electric Design, CALGreen - Voluntary Tiers 1 and 2, can be adopted by any city without having the need to do a cost effectiveness study? Also, what are the requirements for Tier 1 & Tier 2 in this case, it is only a design change or does it require the buildings to be all electric? If you could also tell me how this is being updated for the next code cycle, I would really appreciate that.
