Hi Susan,

Thanks for acknowledging this message that I sent -- I was hoping it
would create connection, and your response does just that.

Overall, I receive the note with warmth and playfulness, and it reminds
me of the many connections I have had with you over the past 6 months
that I have enjoyed very much.

And, I have read this message 3 or 4 times, and notice a desire for some
honest sharing & authenticity around one piece that you said:

> SUSAN: Can I remind you not to forget your connections with your
"humble origins" so I can say that I knew you when?

JEFF: Again, primarily I receive this with fun and lightness, and yet there
is a lingering piece of wanting to be seen... so...

Wanting to be seen that my "humble origins", such as they are, were not
with ESAC. One, that I had been deeply immersed in my personal NVC
practice for many years prior to ESAC being formed, as well as networking
in the global NVC community using various other means.

And even more personally, my origins with this work were spending 3 months
on a solo retreat in the high desert of southwestern New Mexico in 2000, or
spending 5 years of intense personal discovery and development in the 1990s
living virtually homeless and spending all my money on therapy and personal
growth workshops, or... or... or...

Writing this, I think it's a need of mine to be seen accurately, not so
much in
terms of my humble origins, but the energy I intend to bring to this new
position
of director for the NVC organization in Ohio... that I fully believe
it's possible
to merge NVC partnership consciousness with effective organizations;
that it's
possible to be a leader with a partnership mentality ("Servant
Leadership"); and
that I embrace abundance as an intrinsic part of NVC consciousness and that
when we create sustainable organizations (financial and otherwise), we
can be
more effective at fulfilling the mission to share NVC in the world.

> SUSAN: In all seriousness, though, I'm really glad to see this
development
because I trust your heart and your effectiveness as a leader.

JEFF: Yes, and I know in my heart that you see me. Thank you for the
recognition
and for seeing me!

No need to restore connection or trust, because it's already solid, but
I would enjoy
knowing how you feel reading this... (briefly is fine if you prefer)...
would you share?

Warmly, Jeff
