hand, I want to honor my agreement as Clerk to provide minutes within
a week of the meeting for the benefit of those who were not able to
attend but who are nevertheless following the proceedings with
interest. On the other hand, the draft is not as complete as I would
like on two counts: first, I wasn't taking notes because I was
counting on being able to prepare the minutes based on the recording,
but the recording quit before the end of the call, so I'm still
missing closing comments from two participants; and second, I am still
working in the private google group to resolve some discrepancies in
some of the wording. However, I don't think these considerations are
compromising anybody's privacy, dignity, or integrity (which were the
needs we were trying to meet when we invented this minutes preparation
process), so I'm posting today with the caveat that there may be a few
more modifications between now and the time the minutes are offered
for consent at the April meeting.
Another reason I'm posting prior to reaching closure on the private
phase of preparing the minutes is that I'm missing a piece of
information that I believe will be found here in the larger group. As
you may have noticed in the past, I like to acknowledge the interest
and intention to participate that is alive enough on the part of
people who were not at the meeting that they doodled an intention to
be there, wrote to me off list for support in joining the call, or
reached out to connect in some other way. Well, this time around, I
might have missed someone. I thought I remembered that there were two
people who contacted me last Wednesday morning, but I can't remember
who the other one was because I deleted the email from my Inbox as
soon as I responded and from my memory as soon as I mentioned to the
Facilitator who we were expecting on the call. So if you would like
me to add your name to the Absent with regrets line, please let me know.
Please take special note of the first page where you will find the
April meeting time/date (Wednesday, April 15, 2:00p.m. EDT, 11:00a.m.
PDT, 18.00 GMT/UT, 3:00p.m. Rio), and where you can read the "digest
version" of the decisions and actions. I am excited to be able to
share this progress on the Relationships proposal; I have captured the
reframing described in the minutes with a simple modification of the
title, so rather than attaching the whole thing again, I've updated
the copy in the Files section, and I offer the revised title below:
Relationships Among NVC Community Stakeholders
Proposed Long-Range Strategic Plan for the Board of Directors
of the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)
by the Undersigned Members of the English-Speaking Americas Circle (ESAC)
I'll have more to say about that "Undersigned Members" piece in a
separate discussion thread, presumably before the end of my day today,
in which I'll invite your endorsement. Meanwhile, in order to keep
order in our google group, please Reply to this thread only if it's
something about the minutes.
