A new proposal from the Sydney Opera House to city planners has put forward allowing overnight stays associated with special promotional events that would include a Concert Hall performance, a meet-and-greet with the artists backstage, and even the chance for guests to “perform their own piece” on stage. But there has been some opposition voiced to the perceived commercial exploitation of the UNESCO world heritage-listed building, particularly given the Opera House’s corporate partnerships.
