ARTICLE: Arts Council England to impose quantitative measures of arts quality

A national system for evaluating the quality of artistic work is to become compulsory for many of Arts Council England’s (ACE) National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs). It will require organisations across all artforms to use a tailored system to complete an agreed number of evaluations each year, substituting the old “Quality Metrics pilot”, considered inappropriate. It also revealed that the cultural sector is ready to have a method to capture the quality of artworks.
