Welcome to EJNet!

EJNet is a network of journalists, editors and others interested in journalism who use this Google Group to share and exchange vital information, tips, leads, opportunities, resources and more with fellow environmental and climate journalists around the world. Members are invited to get involved in this online community by contributing to discussions and engaging in constructive dialogue with one another.

Membership in the group constitutes agreement with the following guidelines:

Community Conduct Guidelines 

· Posts are subject to moderation by the EJNet Administrator before they are released. Examples of posts that are not accepted include press releases, spam, messages that include rude or derogatory language and other posts deemed by the EJNet Administrator to be irrelevant or inappropriate for this space.

· When posting a message, please ensure you’ve followed these guidelines: You have verified it to be accurate and relevant to the group. Your subject line reflects the content of your post. You have included as many specific details as possible, such as eligibility, grant amounts, deadlines, etc. If you do not follow these guidelines, your message may be rejected.

· When replying to messages, you have two options: You may reply to everyone in the group, or you may reply only to the original sender. Please read the message carefully and consider whether your reply is relevant to the entire group or only to the original sender, and choose your reply method accordingly. If you would like to respond with thanks or to confirm your interest in a particular opportunity, for instance, these do not need to be reply-all responses.

· In some cases, the sender may be serving as a messenger only, and members will be requested to respond to a third party directly. Please take a moment to read the original post carefully so you can reply in the appropriate manner.

· Please be pleasant and welcoming to others. Do not engage in personal attacks or criticism of other members. Communicate with compassion.

· Do not post or link to abusive, hateful, or offensive content. Do not post or link to content that threatens or harasses others.

· Do not post or link to content that is off-topic or disruptive to the discussion.

· Please take the time to thoroughly read the body of the original post and refrain from replying to threads regarding events or opportunities that have already closed.

· All information shared in this group is off the record unless noted otherwise, thus participants should not be directly quoted without their explicit permission to do so.

· If a member wishes to share the contact details of another individual, they must have the consent of that person to do so.

Administrator Role

The EJNet administrator is a member of the EJN team who moderates activity on the group. New members must be approved before they can see group messages and all posts are subject to moderation before they are released. The administrator reserves the right to reject or delete posts that do not abide by the community guidelines or that, at the administrator's discretion, are determined to be disruptive or off-topic.
