to Escape From Berkeley (by any non-petroleum means necessary) announce
We are starting our community campaign to support our motley
collection of DIY alternative energy vehicles start their "engines" on
something other than a petroleum based fuel, and set out on a four day
open road rally to the Mexican Border. You can now support the race
through the virtual purchase of your very own ghost town, hot spring,
brothel or other interesting attraction along the route. Hurry up
still available are:

Those " Beautiful" “Big People” Statues in Berkeley, CA

Your very own Cargo Container Walking crane at the Port of Oakland

The Mojave Airplane Graveyard

Elmer’s Bottle Cacti in Helendale, California

The International Banana Club Museum in Hesperia, California

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Memorial in Apple Valley, California

The Time Bandit Movie Pirate Ship at Big Bear Lake

Bombay Beach in Lovely Salton Sea Niland, California

Lawrence Welk Museum in Escondido, California

.....Or one of the many other strange roadside attractions. Wonder
through the miscellanea of cultural oddities at your leisure
http://www.escapefromberkeley.com/sponsor/sponsor-by-landmark/ - get
your very own Landmark today and we will celebrate your support by
adding your name to our list of Race Enthusiasts.

If any of you have questions about sponsoring landmarks for Escape
From Berkeley this year, please contact our new Event Coordinator,
Wendy Clupper at spons...@escapefromberkeley.com or
we...@escapefromberkeley.com

Help us create a rally using only fuels/power/motive force scavenged
"for free" along the route. Some entries are promising to arrive at
the start line with extreme technical innovation. Others are saying
they are only capable of creative excess. The cash will be taken home
by those who arrive with both.

Cheers,
Jess and the Escape From Berkeley Team
