three ways to support teachers today

Hello Gaucho Families! As school is getting up and running there are three things you can do immediately to support teachers at El Cerrito High School.

1. Make a gift to a classroom via the ECHS Teacher Wish List. The Wish List program is organized through the ECHS PTSA and all purchased items will be delivered to teachers at school by the PTSA. 
2. Contribute to the ECHS Teacher Grant program. This grant initiative is coordinated by Investing in Academic Excellence (IAE). Last year we gave out $5000.00 for teachers to use for field trips, class sets of novels, calculators, and more. All gifts are tax deductible.
3. Plan to join IAE for our Teacher Grant application review and potluck - Monday September 29, 2025. Use this link to add this event to your calendar.

IAE meets monthly and our meetings are open to the school community. If you would like to get involved in our other programs, please respond to this short form to tell us more about you. We will follow up with you based on your interests and availability.

Investing in Academic Excellence (IAE) is a parent and community group created in 2010 to advance academic excellence at ECHS. This committee meets roughly once/month on Zoom and all members of the ECHS community are invited to participate in our planning meeting and activities. 

Donations to IAE can be made via PayPal.
