Invitation to Support ECHS Basketball

Dear Parents and Guardians of ECHS Basketball Players,

To support fundraising efforts for the ECHS basketball teams, we are proposing the creation of a El Cerrito Student Activity Fund (SAF)* Basketball Sponsored Group Committee (SGC)**.

We invite all parents and guardians of women’s and men’s basketball players to join a zoom informational meeting to learn more about this proposal and how you can get involved.

Please take a moment to complete this google form and share your availability. The meeting will be scheduled based on the date that works for the greatest number of participants.

Your support will play a vital role in helping our student-athletes succeed both on and off the court.

Parents of 11th grade men’s team players

* El Cerrito Student Activities Fund (SAF) is the nonprofit 501(c)(3)  (Tax ID# 91-1935426) that supports enrichment programs for the students enrolled at El Cerrito High School. The SAF helps to provide student club leaders, teachers, and staff with the monetary resources they need to fund academic, extracurricular, athletic, graduation, and other school-related activities. 

** SAF funds and sponsors numerous school groups, called Sponsored Group Committees (SGC’s), so that they can fundraise and operate under our umbrella.  SAF provides insurance to these groups, and processes all tax and paperwork required by various state and federal agencies.
