Hi, Energy Action Team members,

Here’s a proposed agenda for our meeting on Wednesday:

  1. Introductions
  2. Looking back at 2025: What were our team’s accomplishments?
  3. What is the current funding landscape for energy-related projects (tax credits, incentives, grants, etc.)?
  4. What projects would you like to pursue in 2026?
  5. Announcements

Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like to add to the agenda.

Here’s the Zoom link for the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88976273098?pwd=RIhBv3GxwpPeZ6BjxZCVGMhck3OpyL.1. However, if any of you would like to meet in person at David’s and my home, I’d be happy to do a hybrid meeting. Please respond to this email to:

  1. Confirm that you plan to attend Wednesday’s meeting, and
  2. Tell us whether you plan to attend via Zoom or in person.

I’m looking forward to seeing you either way!

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive. To learn more, please check out the online Champinefu Webinar Series, plan a trip to the Chachalu Museum and Cultural Center, and/or make a gift to our Champinefu Fund.

Annette, this is not an urgent topic, but household battery storage is a topic that I think we should prepare materials on. Battery storage is a good alternative to natural gas for winter storm electricity backup. Many people are buying gas generators, but battery will soon be better, cheaper, and give more capacity. We need to be able to give people background. Electrify Now has given a seminar on the topic, so we might adapt some of their materials for our use.
