It sounds to me like this is a really good thing to offer in our catalog
of ideas in case someone wants to do it locally, but not something that
we want to do as a national campaign. In fact, if a smaller group of
people want to run this as a test project in their
congregations/communities, it might be a good way to see if it has legs.
I'll include something about it on the website and in the newsletter but
I think those who have spoken against making this a major effort have
given excellent reasons. Thanks again for the input.
And thanks also to John Miers ... I am always grateful when someone
contacts us and says "hey, what about this?" This movement runs on
prayer and creative thinking . Usually, the nuttier the idea the better,
I've found. So keep 'em coming!
