Hi everyone,
I got this note from our good friend Julie Heinz :
My friend (and
celebrity) Ethan Zohn is dribbling a soccer ball from
Boston, MA to Washington, DC to raise awareness and money in the fight
against HIV/AIDS. He leaves tomorrow night out of Boston (via a pro
soccer game) and arrives in DC on Dec 1st – World AIDS Day! He plans
to visit with youth groups along the way to help educate them and get
them fired up to become involved. Wondered if the youth groups EGR
works with in the northeast might be energized by meeting him and
being a part of something like this.
You can find out more on his website --
http://www.grassrootsoccerunited.org/ -- and find his schedule at
http://www.grassrootsoccerunited.org/GRSU_DribbleRoute_0408.xls.pdf.
Could be a good event for a congregation or a youth group. Spread the
word to anyone you know who might be interested. Julie can answer
questions also at
julie...@mac.com.
Christ's peace,
