Sorry, I meant “rhyme internally.”
But what about giving these sentences a sense of rhythm? (internally)
Is it possible to have about the same number of syllables on one side
of a comma (or period) as the other? Or have most of the vowels in
that sentence be A’s? Things like that. You could also achieve rhythm
by repeating a word over and over again.
But at the same time… if doing so makes the phrase sound unnatural,
then don’t force a rhyme. Sing-songy phrases stand the test of time
partially because they roll off the tongue so easily.
