QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of university degree (preferably with focus on computer
science, engineering or math).
• Five years or more development experience.
• Three years or more experience in object oriented design.
Familiarity with design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of PowerBuilder 10 and MS SQL.
• Superior time management and estimation capabilities and ability to
perform several tasks concurrently.
• Ability to complete Business Specification if required, Functional
and Technical Specification.
• Experience creating prototypes to verify user requirements and
system design documents.
• Quick learner of new technologies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team
player.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Ability to mentor more junior developers.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with changing
priorities.

In addition to the skills mentioned above, one or more of the
following would be an asset:
• Exposure to .NET 2.0 and/or Java/J2EE
• SQL Reporting Services
• Insurance industry experience.
• UML standards and tools.
• Working experience with MQ Series.
