| Mawlana Hazar Imam meets President of Egypt |
Mawlana Hazar Imam met on Tuesday, September 30, with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss current and future collaboration in Egypt, exploring ways to strengthen partnerships that benefit local communities and advance development. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Luis Monreal, General Manager of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, also attended the meeting. President Sisi congratulated Hazar Imam on assuming leadership of the Ismaili community earlier this year and expressed his appreciation for the historic role of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in the country, noting its decades-long partnership with the state in improving living standards, strengthening services and preserving Egypt’s rich Islamic heritage.
