Canada’s National AI Strategy: What It Means for the Jamat |
Source: Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada On June 4, the federal government released Canada's first national artificial intelligence strategy, titled "AI for All." Several of its commitments touch our community directly: access to free AI training for everyone in Canada by 2031, up to 250,000 new jobs with hands-on skills training, support for small businesses adopting AI, and stronger privacy and online safety protections, including for children. The strategy places people at its centre, a direction already reflected in the work of the Council for Canada Institutions, whose programs are advancing AI literacy and workforce readiness across the Jamat.
