Sir,

Few suggestions

South-West District: There is a mixture of 2 round abouts and a U turn below Mahipalpur flyover at NH-48. The vehicles coming from Dwarka side via Link road and willing to take a U turn below flyover to go to Gurgaon have an option to take straight U turn without taking a circle of round-about. However, this is blocked with barricades and every vehicle is required to take a full circle of around 300 metres.

Even if 10000 vehicles are required to run this much mileage extra daily it amounts to whopping 3000 kilometers. It is sheer waste of road space and fuel. Primarily there is no reason for this as the empty space is being used for parking. We may improve the road space utilisation and also reduce the pressure on round-about by opening this straight U turn. We should try to avoid this waste. It is therefore, requested that this direct U turn may please be opened.

Please consider.

South District: On Acharya Shri Tulsi Marg, (at Gurgaon border) between metro pillar numbers P-225 & P-3, Delhi Police have left unattended permanent barricades significantly reducing the operational width on both sides of road. At this point vehicles coming from Gurgaon side takes a U-turn and hence the space falls short. As per several earlier directives from senior DP officers leaving such unattended barricades in an obstructive manner is not allowed. Why should road space be squeezed unnecessarily at this U-turn junction? Specifically, during peak hours this should be totally avoided. It is, therefore, suggested that

(1)    These barricades be removed and

(2)    PWD be asked to make permanent structure for U turn similar to like on Ring Road at Delhi Cantonment. This will reduce improve safety quotient and avoid waiting time.

Dwarka District: There is total chaos due to ‘on road’ parking at T point near mother dairy (near Bal Bharti School) sector 12 Dwarka during whole day. This is happening due to heavily clogged turning points. As per traffic rules no vehicle can be parked upto 15 meters from any cut, crossing or T point. I strongly recommend that traffic police may (i) arrange for painting of yellow boxes at this T point and (ii) regularly depute staff for penalize the vehicles blocking corners.

Regards

Sanjeev.
