गुड़गांव-फरीदाबाद टोल रोड़ पर, खुशबू चौक पर फरीदाबाद से गुड़गांव की ओर जाते समय पिछले कुछ एक वर्ष से सिग्नल पर ठहराव का समय काफी बढ़ गया है। अब चौराहे को पार करने से पहले 2-3 राउंड प्रतीक्षा करनी पड़ती है। एक वर्ष पूर्व में हुडा/पीडब्लूएडी ने सड़क के बीच की पटरी की लंबाई चौराहे तक बढ़ा दी गई है, पहले यह चौराहे से पहले कुछ पहले तक थी । इस विस्तार के कारण चौराहे के निकट सड़क की चौड़ाई कम हो गई है, फलस्वरूप वाहनों की धीमी आवाजाही हो रही है। यह बढ़ी हुई प्रतीक्षा कीमती समय और ईंधन की बर्बादी है। इस बिंदु पर उपस्थित त्रिकोण (पैदल यात्री द्वीप) जो की सड़क की चोड़ाई के अंदर धंसा हुआ है उसे केवल 2 फीट बाएं तरफ स्थानांतरित करके की आवश्यकता है । बस इतना छोटा सा बदलाव यातायात की गति को तेज करेगा और सड़क दक्षता में 50% सुधार करेगा। मैंने इस संबंध में यातायात पुलिस, उप-जिला न्यायाधीश को कई बार लिखा पर कुछ नहीं हुआ सरकारी अमला इस चौंक के रख रखाव और सौंदर्यीकरण पर बहुत धन व्यय कर रहा है पर इस और किसी का ध्यान नहीं है।

On Gurgaon-Faridabad Toll Toad, while going towards Gurgaon from Faridabad side at Khushboo Chowk the stoppage time on signal has increased considerably for past one year. Now it takes 2-3 cycle before you can cross the intersection. One year ago the length of central verge has been extended till intersection, earlier it was at some length before the intersection. Due to this extension the width of the road at tip of intersection has narrowed down, resulting in slow movement of vehicles. This increased waiting is a waste of precious time & fuel. The space at this point can be widened by shifting the triangle (pedestrian island) just by 2 feet left ward. Just this much small change will accelerate the speed of traffic by 50% and improve road efficiency.
