I've been invited to be on a panel discussion of Teaching NLP. This is a virtual event based in the UK, so the time is a bit early (7am Duluth/Central US). However, it is open to the public so please feel free to attend if interested.

This should be a link to the registration form.

And a few more details ...

This is the registration form for the Teaching NLP session, held at the Cardiff NLP research seminars on Thursday, 28th October at 13:00 (local Cardiff-UK time). The session is expected to last around 1 hour, maybe a bit longer.

The session will be moderated by Jose Camacho-Collados and Luis Espinosa-Anke, and will consist of a panel with Ted Pedersen (University of Minnesota in Duluth) and Constantin Orasan (University of Surrey). The main theme will be discussing past and current approaches to NLP, and how paradigm shifts have affected teaching approaches and expectations from learners.
