Washington - He's been criticized by President Bush, though never by
name, for five days running.

He's been a sought-after "get" on national news shows.

He's shown a knack for sound bites, opining that Bush is president, not
"King George Bush."

Sen. Russ Feingold has become a familiar face in the showdown pitting
the White House against the Senate over renewal of the USA Patriot Act.

On Monday, the Wisconsin Democrat jump-started his day on the NBC-TV
"Today" show. Later, he and two colleagues faced dozens of cameras in
giving the party's response to Bush's news conference.
