All-
Mark your calendar's for the fall and winter events downtown:

September
Purple Power Play on Poyntz is on Thursday, September 2nd and Friday,
September 3rd. Festivities begin at 6pm each day. Fireworks at night
fall on Friday!

October
Downtown All Treats Day, K-State Homecoming Parade and Boo Party at
the mall on Friday, October 29th. DMI All Treats Day will be from
4:00pm to 6:00pm, the KSU Homecoming parade begins at 5:00pm and the
Boo Party at the mall is from 5:30pm to 7:30pm...mark your calendars!

DMI Annual Meeting is Monday, October 25th at 5:30pm, location TBD

DMI Board of Director elections, ballots will be sent out on Friday,
October 28th and will be due back to DMI no later than Friday,
November 5th. If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone
else for the DMI Board of Directors, please call my office at (785)
537-9683. You must be a member of DMI in good standing.

November and December
Downtown Holiday Open House is on Sunday, November 14th. Participating
businesses will be listed on the DMI website and Facebook page.

Celebrate the Season runs from Friday, November 26th thru Thursday,
December 23rd. There will be carriage rides, holiday street lighting,
a party with Santa and holiday entertainment throughout the season. A
detailed calendar of events will be available on our website and
Facebook page beginning in November.

It's an exciting time downtown!
