Message from the City of Manhattan re: road closures on 3rd Street and Mall Ring Road

Emery Sapp and Sons Construction, and The City of Manhattan will be
closing 3rd Street at Pierre Street, and the mall ring road beginning
Tuesday, June 7, until approximately August 15, 2011. The closure is
necessary for street, water main, and storm water improvements related
to the downtown redevelopment projects. All mall parking lots will
still be accessible, as will the mall entrances on U.S. 24.
Delays and detours can be expected in and around the construction area
for the duration of the project. Please drive slowly, obey all posted
traffic control signs, and use caution around the work zones.
Travelers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes
during construction. The City of Manhattan appreciates your patience
during this project.
