Hello DoubleShot! folks -
Well, Sweeps Week 2009 has arrived, with DoubleShot! gearing up to defend our 2007 judging, audience, and arrangement wins with a performance at the
Mid-Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes this Saturday, April 4th at the historic
Birchmere in Alexandria, VA -- and then on to Frederick, MD to be featured at the annual show for the
A Cappella Showcase Chorus.
We're happy to report that the Birchmere has once again sold out 500
seats for the 2009 Sweepstakes, but for anyone traveling with us that
weekend, there are still tickets available for the Sunday show, so
visit the
A Cappella Showcase Chorus website for those tickets.
But before we go -- we'll be performing for all of you this Friday,
April 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the
Shadow Lounge in East Liberty. We have at least one and maybe more surprises in store for our audience
Friday -- including the debut of our newest arrangement! So grab a pass ASAP!
Again,
here's how you get a pass to the show for
just $5 because you're awesome and are subscribed to our lists and online groups!

Thanks everyone! We look forward to seeing you guys on Friday night at Shadow Lounge!

Online show details: We've received some confusion as of late
about times on our online show calendar. Please note that your Google
account or local computer settings (12/24 hour clock, time zone
settings, etc.) may affect your view of our show information via Google
Calendar. Show times
local to that performance are listed in the event information. ~

Email show details: We received a correction to our previous email from one of our list
members (who will remain anonymous) which read
"11:59
p.m. EST on 4/1/2009 is actually 12:59 a.m. on 4/2/2009 to anyone in
the Eastern United States or Canada. Standard time only runs from the
first weekend in November to the first weekend in March. Otherwise,
we're using EDT." Since
11:59 p.m. EST is EXACTLY what we meant (gulp!), we're offering
$5 passes until 12:59 a.m. on April 2, 2009. So, anonymous reader --
joke's on you! (And, um, thanks for writing to correct this.) ~
