Hello DoubleShot! friends, family, & fans --

We will definitely let you know more as we do, but we have an IMMEDIATE opening for a performer for a special project involving a possible appearance on national television and for future paid opportunities through our band as a performer, which could possibly develop into a longer-term position!

Please take a moment and distribute the announcement below to anyone in your personal network who would find this information of interest or might know people that do.

We only have this week to finish this process.  We will be auditioning extensively over the next two days and making our hire by THIS Friday October 2nd, so please help us by spreading the word IMMEDIATELY.  As always, updates to follow -- as we know more, so will you!

All the best,
DoubleShot!

BE ON NATIONAL TV or GET PAID TO SING
with DoubleShot! - Pittsburgh's ONLY All-Vocal Band

DoubleShot!, Pittsburgh's Only All-Vocal Band and Seven Time American Harmony Sweepstakes Honoree, seeks a male vocal performer age 18-30 in appearance (preferably 21+) for an unpaid vocal performing position with an opportunity for national television exposure.  At the band's discretion, this position can lead to permanent placement with the band and paid performance opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

ONE: Voice.  You are a male vocalist, HIGHLY competent within your vocal range, with both the ability to sing a styled, compelling lead (aka "rock out") in your voice range and the ability to blend/harmonize as a background vocalist.  IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE, we prefer vocalists who are (1) true basses; (2) countertenors/male sopranos; (3) tenors; (4) baritones.

TWO: Ears.  You are able to harmonize/tune easily by ear and learn pre-established parts via part tapes and rehearsals.  Sightreading, theory, other instrument/music tech skill backgrounds a plus.

THREE: Supplemental Skills.  You may have other vocal arts experience (vocal percussion / beatboxing / spoken word / rapping / vocal effects / MCing / public speaking / impersonations), any of which are a plus but are not a substitute in any way replacements for ability to sing (see "ONE", above).  Demonstrated stage presence, energy, and charisma, however, are closer to requirements than pluses.  You have the ability to work and play well with others and contribute beyond learning and performing music (this can range from organizational/business aspects to lugging gear around).

FOUR: Audition.  You must be available for an in-person audition Tuesday 9-29-09, or Wed 9-30-09 after 5 PM in Pittsburgh, PA.  THIS IS WITHIN THE NEXT 2 1/2 DAYS!

FIVE: Preparation.  If you are selected, you must be available to rehearse with DoubleShot! 2-4x per week (more as required) in Pittsburgh, PA through October and November 2009.

SIX: Availability.  If DoubleShot! is selected, we will be flown (at producer's expense) to Los Angeles, CA from November 28 to December 23, 2009 where we will be filmed as contestants on an a nationally televised reality competition.  NO PERSONAL TRAVEL OR EXPENSE IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO AUDITION FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.  It is expected, however, that the above time frame will be 100% available for you.

SEVEN: The Future.  Regardless of the band's selection for the program, your participation will serve as an audition for a long-term position with the band and paid performance opportunities largely in the Pittsburgh area/region but also in venues throughout the United States and other opportunities as available worldwide.

The contents above are intended to inform participants of the audition requirements for the DoubleShot! vocal band from Pittsburgh, PA.  The contents described herein are no guarantee of employment, nor are any opportunities listed herein guaranteed to any applicant.  For reasons of confidentiality, some details of potential opportunities have been redacted.
