Unable to connect to visual studio's local host web server

Configuration:

windows Xp
visual studio 2005

While running the webapplication, i am getting the following error.


ASP dot net development server failed to start listening on port 2869

Error message:Only one usage of socket adress is normally permitted.

1. Have you tried disabling "Dynamic ports" for the said web app. ?

2. Firewall issues perhaps ?

3. Try running the ASP.NET configuration tool and check. It runs on
the Dev server and you should be able to tell if there is a problem
with the server itself.

what service are you attempting to run on port 2869?

is there another app using that port number?

can you rebuild your app on another machine(s)?
