Hello Dorkbot,

I am running a Arduino and Processing workshop in Brooklyn with the Tribeca Film Institute for artists starting form scratch.
The event is free and includes food, fun and an Arduino kit.
Feel free to apply or forward to those who may be interested.

More info:

You must apply by January 20 to be considered for this hack.

Taking place over two weekends in February (8th & 9th and 15th & 16th) at the Made in New York Media Center by IFP, Tribeca Hacks <Hardware> is a class and workshop aimed to teach storytellers how to design interactive systems using Arduino and Processing, culminating in a working piece of interactive new media art.

This Hackathon assumes ABSOLUTELY NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE in programming or electronics as these skills will be taught from the beginning. Participants will learn the basics of programming, beginning electronics, sensing, kinetics, interaction design and systems and communications within the context of artistic practice. The hackathon will be lead by Alex Reben, co-founder of the BlabDroid.
