Howdy,
Sure. A volunteer will work one of two stations for a given time slot. We'll be helping to divert usable items from the waste stream and donating those items to charity. As such, we'll need volunteers to help us politely remind students to donate rather than throw away their items. Volunteers will man tables (under a sun protectin' canopy) directly beside trash bins, recycle bins and clothing collecting bins. We'll be making sure that items go where they need to be. There's also that possibility where volunteers will help students sort their items into what is usable and what is better thrown to trash (we sometimes just get a 'dump' of potential items and the students don't care to help us out). Volunteers do no physical moving or donating; the process of collecting the sorted items will be taken care of by other means. So, we get to hang out and hopefully have a good time.
